Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
For Today Photography and its related portfolio sites are committed to being usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Measures Taken
This site includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation on portfolio galleries, lightbox viewers, booking forms, and password gates.
- Modal dialogs (lightbox, age gates, download password) trap keyboard focus and isolate background content from assistive technology using
inertwhere supported. - Arrow-key navigation inside the lightbox; Tab cycles between controls inside open dialogs.
- Skip-to-content links at the top of pages.
- Alternative text on portfolio and gallery images, including captions in the lightbox where available.
- Associated text labels on booking form fields, selects, and text areas.
- ARIA roles and labels on dialogs (lightbox, age gates, download password), navigation, and interactive controls.
- Focus moves into dialogs when they open and returns to the originating control when they close.
- Live region announcements for photo counts, lightbox captions, download status, booking form feedback, and booking success.
- An accessible in-page dialog for gallery download passwords (replacing browser prompt dialogs).
- Visible keyboard focus styles using
:focus-visible. - Reduced-motion support via
prefers-reduced-motionCSS. - Self-hosted fonts served from this site (no Google Fonts request on page load).
- Semantic page structure with landmarks such as
main,nav,header, andfooter.
Known Limitations
We are actively working to improve this site. Known limitations include:
- Some decorative tag labels on gallery cards remain small; contrast has been improved but very small accent-colored tags may still be difficult for some users.
- Some muted taglines, footer text, and secondary labels use reduced opacity for visual hierarchy.
- Some decorative logos on the index portal cards use empty alternative text when the adjacent visible title already describes the destination.
- We have not completed a full third-party WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit; this statement describes our intent and current measures, not formal certification.
